TARGA NEWFOUNDLAND MOTORSPORT CELEBRATION
ENTRY APPLICATION BENEFITS AND PROCESS
After some two years of COVID cancelled events we are planning to bring to you a combined Duemila / Bambina Eight Day Motorsport Celebration for 2022. The first two days will focus on the Course Familiarization Program (CFP) which will be followed by six days of Duemila competition, the first two of which will include the Bambina.
The entry fee of $12,000 plus HST will be all inclusive and the same for all three Duemila divisions; Fast Tour, Grand Touring and Targa. One fee all competitors will experience the same eight day (including the 2 day CFP) adventure, the same organization, insurance, safety teams, communities, stages and many other common benefits. We have included the following items in the entry fee in the interests of:
• Community Relations; a Community Trust Fund has been created to the benefit of the host communities. The trust comes form a 15% levy which is included in the entry fee. The Trust Funds will be disbursed to the communities as the event proceeds.
• Community Repairs; we have contracted a team that will follow the stages and effect repairs where possible to properties that may be damaged during a stage.
• Competitor Safety; the very successful Targa School has been revised to become a Course Familiarization Program (CFP) which is designed to prevent or reduce incidents. It is now mandatory for all competitors. Included in the CFP will be the former First Responders Course, Drivers Briefing and Competition Licenses.
• Competitor Scoring; we have contracted professional timing and scoring people who will provide us with safety, location and timing transponders that will look after both competitor safety as well as our timing and scoring.
• Competitor Insurance; Like all things our insurance rates have been increased since the onset of COVID
In addition, all of the traditional Targa amenities for competitors are included in the entry fee such as Course Design and Checking, Organization, Training and Licensing of Special Volunteers, Organizing and Training Community Volunteers, Designing the Course, Providing the Route Books and Service Crew Books, Community Taping Books, Clothing Packages, Hats, arranging for Hotel Accommodation Rates, Breakfasts, Upgraded Community Lunches and Final Awards Presentation passes. Additional services such as, special advantageous hotel and vehicle shipping rates, vehicle towing and mechanical services can also be made available.
The entry fee of $3,000 plus HST will be all inclusive and the same for the two Bambina divisions; Fast Tour and Targa 1. One fee. All competitors will experience the same four day (including the 2 day CFP*) adventure, the same organization, insurance, safety teams, communities, stages and many other common benefits.
*Targa experienced competitors need only do the second day of the CFP but are welcome for both days.
To register for the Targa Newfoundland Motorsport Celebration please follow this guide which will make things simpler. Due to the advent of COVID-19 our entry process has been specifically modified to protect both our entrants and ourselves. The entry is composed of three parts, Part One will secure your place for 2022. Parts Two and Three will enter your team and vehicle. All parts should be completed by August 8th 2022 but must be finalized by the Formal Registration date of September 8th 2022 when entries are locked.
TO REGISTER for either The Duemila or Bambina:
Part One – Secure Your Entry:
Submit Part One of the Entry Forms together with a 10% deposit plus HST. Please forward your 10% deposit plus HST payment by e-transfer to John Hume at email@example.com. The deposit plus HST will be held in Trust until August 8th (one month before the event) at which time it will be credited to your entry fee. Should the event be cancelled for reasons beyond our control, before August 8th (such as legislated COVID regulations) all deposits will be e-transferred back to you.
Part Two – Entering your Crew
The entrant is required to have Part Two of the Entry Forms completed and submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org by August 8th 2022.
Part Three – Entering Your Vehicle:
Competitors entering Targa 2 of the Targa Division must complete Part Three of the Entry Form in its entirety. The completed form must be submitted by August 8th.
Competitors entering Targa 1 of the Targa Division must complete Part Three of the Entry Form in its entirety but they are only required to fill section one, page one and state whether their vehicle is two or four wheel drive.
Competitors entering Fast Tour or Grand Touring Divisions must complete Part Three of the Entry Form in its entirety but are only required to fill out page one, section one.
Changes to Parts Two and Three of the Entry Forms may be made in writing between the date of submission and the Formal Registration date of September 8th.
Part Four – Completing your Entry:
The Balance of your Entry Fee plus HST will be due on or before the Formal Registration date of September 8th. Payment(s) may be made by either e-transfer, Visa, Mastercard or by certified cheque payable to Newfoundland International Motorsports Limited and delivered at Formal Registration.
